Hubert Dreyfus was a philosopher who was part of the early discussions on the potential for true artificial itelligence. He effectvely argued against strong AI and the physical symbol system hypothesis suggesting instead that the highly contextual and embodied natiue of intelligence meant that there was a sharp divide between biological human intelligence and computation.
